Has anyone in southern california adopted through a NON- CHRISTIAN agency?

my husband and i are in the preliminary stages of getting accepted by our local adoption agency(murrieta, ca) The only section we seem not to qualify in is the church membership aspect of it. i do understand that the agency wants to place children in christian homes. ive tried to look for a non-christian agency in our area but have not had any luck. has anyone else?
