Is the God in the bible the same God you worship?

I believe in God but not in the Bible. I admire the Bible, I think it's a very important document, just on the level of literature. I believe it was written by just regular people, like you and me, based on what they believed and thought and felt at the time. It's valuable if just to show how people believed in those days. But those people didn't really know any more about God than you or I do. There are no -revelations-, each of us is on his own. Your relationship with God is between you and God.
