My dad's being (and always has been) cynical and childish?

Well my dad and I always have had issues and he's somewhat of a baby and throws little man tantrums (he's not even CLOSE to being the age of hitting senility, he's only in his 40's), and he just has to comment on everything in a bad way and it just pisses me off (like movies, songs, people, shows etc.), its ok to do it once in a while but this dude does it EVERYDAY as much as possible and he's such a downer! Like one time when we were in the movies watching previews and every-single-preview we saw he just mage rude noises and gestures to me saying how horrible they looked, and that was just at the movies for 10 fricken minutes! Its the kind where nothing can be good enough to his standards and when it isn't he get's pissed (and has a little man fit), for example- I recently didn't care when he was doing his little whining venting thing to me over some stupid ***** argument that he had with his one out of only 3 guy friends (they fight alot, just like little bitches :P but i would never say that to em) and he got so mad and just acted like a little baby for the rest of the day, you dont vent to your kid!!! right? I'm just really starting to notice this and when i reflect from when i was little with him he did the exact same thing! always getting mad at things that aren't up to his expectations. Please help I'm sick and tired of him complaining and critisizing everything and everyone! I'm a teenager and I feel like I'm more of an adult than him 3: this isn't how it should be!
