Infrequent random headaches?

Okay, my head is hurting right now. Right now it is mostly on the left side of my head, and a little bit on the right. Only in the front, not in the back. Is it a sinus infection, cold or what? I don't feel congested anywhere. A little mucus in the back of my throat at times. Should I take an Ibuprofen (200 mg I think they are, the round brown/orange generic kind) Or an acetaminophen (500 mg/Extra strength) or what? VapoRub? Please help.
