Is my life hopeless now beacuse of..?

im a 18 years old guy who just graduated in june. i messed up in high school but i graduated with standard diploa with a whopping 2.4 gpa =( (i had terrible freshman and sophomore year, but junior and senior was better). long story short i'm not going to a university straight out of high school. and for some reason i feel skeptical about community college (NOVA)....i dont kno what to do and i dont have a job either (neither did i ever have one)....and ppl say im a smart guy but i find myself struggling focusing in the classroom and my mind wanders off...h elp?
