Help understanding preliminary hearing?

My brother has a preliminary hearing in Tennessee tomorrow and I'm curious at to what will happen. The charges against him are aggravated DUI and 3 counts of felony wanton endangerment against police officers stemming from the drunk driving-although no one was injured in any way during the incident. He does have an attorney, but he really hasn't given us details because he doesn't know what will happen. My brother has already paid him $6,000 so it would be nice if he had given us some information. What I would like to know is, what is are the general things that happen at a preliminary trial, will anyone, like the police officers be called to testify, and could he be held on bond, and if so, what would be a fair estimate of the bail they would ask? How quickly does peroneal tendonitis heal?

I am an active runner. Before my foot pain (peroneal tendonitis of course), i was putting in around 45-50 miles. The reason is because it was a very rapid increase in milage and i was wearing extremely worn out shoes. If i rest, take ibuprofen, get new shoes, and ice the area, how soon will i be in good shape to run again. My goal is this saturday (2 days from today), but does that sound too ambitious? And please don't say that "the healing varies upon the person". If anyone has past experience, please give me an estimate and note that i am a 16 year old boy.

Random Itching-Any ideas why?

About 5:30 this morning I woke up itching like crazy. I thought it was weird but eventually I fell back asleep. When I woke up again for 9:30 I was itching again. I thought maybe I got bitten or maybe I was just sweaty and needed a shower. The itching persisted and I took a shower and I'm still itching. I don't see any hives or bumps that could be a bug bite. The itching is at random spots too. It could be my knees, then go to my arms, then to my thighs. I don't think it could an allergic reaction to something since I didn't eat anything new yesterday. Although I did go someplace new. Could I have been allergic to something at the place yesterday and only feeling it now. Could I still have been bitten even though I don't see my bumps. I need help with my standard definition capture card.?

I have purchased a easycap but have not been using it because of some issues. I use the component cable set to standard definition to split the signal to my tv and capcard. I connect the component cables to my tv and composite to the capcard. ( I get sound through an optical cable) My issue is that I have response problems with this method. The signal going to the tv seems to be a bit delayed. The tv screen does not seem to be exactly in tune with the output of the controller. It looks fine when I see it on the capture card end when viewing it on the laptop. What can I do to increase the responsiveness/ better feedback? It is hard enough playing in standard def on a full high defintion tv, but this latency issue makes things even worse. Do I need to split the composite signal or SHOULD the method I have been using be proper? I would also like to know how to get s-video input into my capcard. I have seen people on youtube do it and get better quality on it than composite but I do not know how to do this with an xbox 360 and tv that does not have s-video output. I have had shoulder pain for the last 3 years?

I went to see my GP who referred me to physio I had a bit of improvement but went back with the same problem 3 months later,my GP prescribed ibuprofen with the same results I persevered with the pain until I went to see my GP again this March she would have referred me back to physio but I told her I wanted to get to the bottom of the cause of the pain.I was sent for a chest x ray in April(2011) it came back showing inconsistencies I was referred to chest clinic at my local hospital who sent me for CT,PET & MRI scans Pulmonary function breathing tests,Bronchoscopy & CT scan needle biopsy of the Lung last week I was given a diagnosis of lung cancer & the consultant talked about having an op to remove part of my right lung but they wanted to wait for the results of the MRI scan which took place last Wednesday,yesterday(Tues)I attended chest clinic with my husband & was given the results of the scan apparently I have cancer in my R shoulder,Adrenal glands & top of my R leg (which they`re not too bothered about at the moment ) because I have cancer in more than 1 place I can`t have the op I am to start with Chemo next Monday my question is does anyone think I have a case for negligence with my GP for not acting sooner.

Too old for competitive ice dance?

I've been skating for 2.5 yrs once a wk( parents won't let me go more). Anyway I am up to freestyle 4 but I wanted to ask is it too late for me to start training fr competitive ice dance Nx year when I turn 18? False positive test Lyme?

About 2 weeks ago I developed a weird rash overnight that looked like hives. I had never had it before so I went to the doctor who did blood work. The rash went away 2 days later. A couple days after they said a preliminary test came back positive for lyme and when that happens the lab does a 2nd test which also came back positive for lyme. Well... about a week and a half later they wanted to do more blood work to recheck it and I just got a call saying it was negative! I'm very happy but why did this happen? Why would it come back positive the first time and negative this time? I'm going to be rechecked in 4-6 weeks.

So it is quarter after 10 at night on a Sunday night. My tooth hurts HORRIBLY. I took 4 even 5 ibuprofen every 4 hours and it still hurts. I've been having some chest pains for four days, and I don't know why. I don't think it's any form of cancer, cause I'm only 16. I had two molars out one on monday 27th and one on thursday 30th of june, both seem to be healing okay and just have standard dull pain that you'd expect from any healing process. honestly any other option would be better than the ibr/icr plans! you can get a deferment or forbearance, or there could be other options to lower your payments depending on your servicer. on the income based plan you might qualify for a zero dollar monthly payment or other lower payment options. and if the laon isn't paid off within 25 years it gets forgiven... so it sounds like a dream come true... but you need to qualify every year. if at some point you don't qualify you get thrown back onto the standart repayment... and all that interest that you didn't pay will be added on to principle. so if you ever plan on getting a better job within the next 25 years... avoid this option at all costs or that 300 dollar payment can easily turn into a 3000 dollar payment.

Hahahahaha that is crazy. Well I do not think you should quit skating, and i dont think you should quit jumping or spinning. I think if you love to skate- skate!! Most skaters don't learn perfect technique the first time, and have to relearn stuff over time. My advice to watch videos of skating as much as possible and have people take videos of you skating often. If you can see yourself and see good technique in videos, you can help yourself loads. Also send your videos to coaches in other countries, post them here, get input form skaters/coaches that way. I grew up skating very competitively, one skater (now a top ranked us-male) and I watched literally thousands of skating videos, especially in slow motion and I think it actually helped us have better technique. A coach helps- tons! but if you are driven and love the sport, with today's technology you can still become a good skater. Good luck!

So it might sound like a stupid question but here are the details. I have horrible periods. My mom wants me to see a OBGYN. What i get is what she has now and she is currently going to get a hysterectomy for cystic fibrosis stuff. So who knows if it could run in the family. Her sister had the same and also had a hysterectomy. I'm 20 by the way. My periods have always been really bad, to the point where I had to call my mom to pick me up from school or now that i am older I have to call off work for 3 days. I cry myself to sleep at night from the horrible back cramps that i get. The first day of the cycle I get really sweaty, and faint like, i even go pale for a couple of hours. Then after i throw up or use the toilet, I stop with the fever chills and sweat and just get really bad cramps. I noticed the I get super bad cramps cause i get chunks of blood. Is that normal? To get chunks of blood during your period? My mom has to give me one of her 800 mg ibuprofen pills so that i won't have to scarf down 4 Tylenol pills. So how a lot of stories go there is this guy. I started having alot of pain on my right side around December it came and went. Then in March it started hurting again it was waking me up at night hurting all night. Question about hinged elbow braces?

I broke my left elbow a long time ago, and now it hurts all the time, which is expected. It also hyper-extends very badly (bows out) and I think this is what makes it sore all the time. Went to the Orthopedic about it, nothing they can do. I've tried elbow braces, just the kind you get at Wal-Mart. This has been an ongoing problem for me for like.. 2 years. My right hip feels really uncomfortable and there is a dull, achy pain that is VERY annoying. Can I lose weight on a 100 carbohydrate diet?

So for starters, I'm 6'5 and 270 pounds. I have been down to as low as 225 but am gaining again. My friend did some research and found out the health benefits to eating a high protein high fat diet. He is much smaller than I, but has lost 35 pounds this year. He limits his carbs to 20 a day, which is pretty standard for that diet. He's been trying to convince me to do it, and I finally decided it was a good idea after watching the movie Fathead (a little amateur but highly recommended). I'm wondering if i throw in the occasional breaded chicken or potato, limiting to about 50-100 carbs a day, would I still lose weight? Would I still have to count calories or could I still treat it like the atkins diet (ie eat as much fat as I want and only limit carbs)? I've done the atkins diet before, but it's hard to stick to for long periods. I try and exercise with Basketball, Frisbee and Badminton 2-6 times a week depending on the weather. My metabolism is extremely regular and fast working, since I am 22 years old. I also take Attention Deficit Disorder medication, which has the side effect of increased metabolism and hunger suppression, which has always helped when I've decided to diet. My dad's being (and always has been) cynical and childish?

Well my dad and I always have had issues and he's somewhat of a baby and throws little man tantrums (he's not even CLOSE to being the age of hitting senility, he's only in his 40's), and he just has to comment on everything in a bad way and it just pisses me off (like movies, songs, people, shows etc.), its ok to do it once in a while but this dude does it EVERYDAY as much as possible and he's such a downer! I'm 15 and considering buying a 1937 Royal Portable Standard Vintage Typewriter. I think it would be an amazing experience to type on an antique typewriter like Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway did. I can't stand staring at a glaring computer screen and I my fingers are sore after I've written more than two pages on paper, so I think a typewriter would be perfect for me. I got a lumbar puncture/spinal tap done 3 days ago and have been doing nothing but laying flat on my back. How long are you supposed to lay flat on your back? Hi, so I slipped on a wet floor and was told I sprained my PCL at the ER. This was 4 days ago. I've been following the regimen of keeping it wrapped and using crutches to take some strain off it as well as taking ibuprofen as well as another prescription pain med. I've noticed my knee seems to be popping at times and when not wrapped for a few hours (at night) it feels heavy if I go to stand up to go to the restroom. Proxies in Friday Night MagicTG?

I know in big time facilities where there's a turnout of more than 20 people there is usually stricter rules, however I play at a small time comic book store where the turnout is no more than 10 every Friday. I was playing for the second time there and I noticed this guy was using Caw Blade. His Birds of Paradise and many other cards were proxied, and others he had painted over on the artwork with Yugioh crap and half naked anime girls that looked like they were 8. After the match I asked my buddy who got me into this how he was allowed to do that. He said that proxies aren't supposed to be legal in standard matches in FNM but the shop owners didn't mind but warned me that overusing proxies could piss people off and if a complaint reached the shop owner that he may ban proxies or start banning people who overuse them. So my question is would it be alright for me to proxy like 5 cards for this artifact deck I'm making? It's not like I'm proxying because I'm lazy. I've worked my *** off to get these cards and now I'm only a few away and I'm so eager to use this in a match. If I can't find the cards to trade off someone in the next week I'll just buy them online. This guy however has made no effort to complete his deck as I've been told he uses same deck almost every Friday.

My Central Air Conditioner is running but not cooling. Just replaced capacitor immediately prior to this.?

I'll try to include a lot of details. It seems everything is running. The Capacitor blew up earlier this week (literally, exploded the top off) and was replaced on Wednesday. Since then, the machine is blowing out only slight cooled, if not cooled at all air. The big line gets cold when I start the unit, but goes back to a standard temperature within a minute. Drug testing at preliminary hearing?

I was arrested about 4 months ago on drug-related (felony) charges. Although, I haven't had a preliminary hearing as of yet. It is scheduled for July 20th. Can the court legally order a drug test at the time of the preliminary hearing? I've done research but have yet to find any suggestions that this will happen (or has ever happened). at first i thought that the reason i was having headaches was because i got my period, which i got on Saturday. today being Wednesday I've had it for four days and it should be going away in a day or two. on the second day (Sunday) i woke up with a really bad headache and i thought that maybe i had just slept on my head funny which causes me to have small headaches sometimes so i stayed off the computer and away from the tv and i took ibuprofen and it went away and then a couple hours later it came back and its been an on and off headache for four days straight and this never happens to me. Last yr, when I applied for SNAP Benefits, my fiance was making about 2080 before taxes and about 1600 after. Pain after getting cavities filled.?

I had 18 cavities filled in one day. My mouth hurts now. My teeth and I guess the gums ache. It feels like when I had braces after they adjusted or tightened the braces. So it's been 3 weeks since I had the work done. I've gone back to the dentist 3 times. The first two times they adjusted my bite and the third time they didn't see any problems and just told me that I'd hurt for awhile because I had so much done. I have a question about a interference with official acts citation I recieved.?

I'm a motel mgr. and one of my long term occupants was beaten up by her boyfriend. She called the cops. The police arrived when I was walking the lot making my rounds after closing. The first officer that arrived asked who I was. I told him "I'm the manager" he said "Go back to your office". I said, " I have to make my rounds first". He didn't reply with any kind of answer and i walked on. I stayed 48 feet from the so called scene. Which was inside the room with the door closed. The officers were knocking on the door trying to get the perp to open the door. They asked the victim for her key, she said I don't have it. One of the officers said, I will go to the office to see if the mgr. has a key, the officer who I spoke to originally said "the mgr. is down there"pointing in my direction. He then yelled down to me and asked if I had my keys on me. I said yes i do. He sent the other officer to get them. I showed him wich key it was and explained how to open the door. He brought the keys back to me. A minute later the first officer yelled down to me again, "do you have a deadbolt key on your keys by any chance?" I said yes I do, do you need it? He sent the other officer down again to get them from me. I showed him wich key it was and in the middle of explaining to the officer that he was going to have to unlock the other lock again because they automaticlly lock, mind you, the officer was standing next to me the whole time i'm showing him the keys, the other officer yells at me to get away from the crime scene. I didnt know who he was yelling at until I looked up and seen him looking at me, I said "What? he said, I'm not going to tell you again, or you will be under arrest for interference with official acts. I replied " I'm giving him the keys you requested" he then said "thats it, and walked over to me and put my hands behind my back and told me I was under arrest for interference with official acts. I said I didn't do anything, I was giving him the keys u asked for. He said "I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about the first time I told you to go to your office". "I don't need your keys, i was just being nice asking for them, I can kick the door in if I want"! He handcuffed me and sat me down closer to the scene. Afterwards, he took the handcuffs off of me and wrote me a citation. I have witnesses to the whole incident. I have taken written statements from any and all witnesses. I went to the preliminary hearing and plead not guilty, because I dont think I am. If he was going to arrest me then why didn't he do it when I told him I had to make my rounds, why didn't he say " thats it, your under arrest at that moment"? My other question is this,- On my ticket he wrote my address down as the victims address. He asked me what unit was the Mgr.'s unit, I told him #6, he wrote down on my ticket that I lived in unit #28-the victims unit. Can this citation/tickey be dismissed or thrown out? Because he wrote down the wrong unit that I live in?

It has always been a firm principle never to share my SS# with any company until I have been hired, and it does no good sharing that information with anyone elsewise. False positive/Indeterminate HIV status?

Today I went in for HIV and took an oral swab/Rapid test which gave me my results back in 20 minutes. The results came back preliminary positive. At which point they took two blood samples and ran two more test. Both of these tests came back negative. However they sent the second blood sample, along with another oral swab to the lab for testing to give me a definitive answer. I'm just wondering, how likely is it that my first result was just a false positive if two of my other tests (which were done on site) came back negative? Naturally, none of the volunteers at the clinic would say other than that my status was Indeterminate.

Late at night. Horrible toothache. No Dental insurance. What do I do?

So it is quarter after 10 at night on a Sunday night. My tooth hurts HORRIBLY. I took 4 even 5 ibuprofen every 4 hours and it still hurts. My Mom even gave me a few Vicodin she had from a toothache she had a while ago and still no dice. Actually after the Vicodin it hurts even worse. I have no Dental insurance and am unemployed atm and I am thinking about going into a dentist tomorrow or something to try and compromise a payment plan to get it checked out but it hurts right now and there's no way I'll be able to sleep tonight. I don't wanna rack up a huge ER bill or anything like that. I do have medical insurance but not Dental. Does anyone have any way I could go to the ER and not rack up a huge bill and just get some pain killers hopefully under my med insurance? Or just something I can do? Thanks

Why is my uper chin and lower cheek numb?

First I would like to say thanks for the answers! :) Anysways my uper chin and lip on the right side is numb and I wanna know why. I havent gone to the dentist in a mouth or any hospital just so you know I didnt get a novocaine shot. My tooth started hurting around 6 pm last night so I took one IBuprofen 800 MG then an hour later I took hydrocodon then after 1 or 2 hours later it still felt a little pain so I took another IBuprofen then after 2 or 3 hours I took another one before bed. Then when I woke up I felt numbness ever since and I still feel it now. It said on the pill container I should only take one every 6 hours too. Maybe I took to much?

The state government then picks up the tab for the "underprivileged" students who are economically disadvantaged. I personally went to one of the fairs. I was brushed aside, while they climbed all over one another in order to compete for the attention of the Spanish speaking parents who were their targeted demographic. Anyone who looked as though they were too affluent to qualify for government funding ie: anyone not black or hispanic, was summarily dismissed. In fact the one counselor would even talk to us was not busy because he was the company president and didn't speak Spanish.

One hears of how Tylenol can save one's life if they have a heart attack because it thins the blood. I'm wondering if the same cab be said of Ibuprofen? If someone took an Ibuprofen because they had a sore neck for example and, say, three hours later sadly had a heart attack....might they be saved by the Ibuprofen pill they took in the same way one might be saved had they had a Tylenol?

How do I know if it is a sinus headache?

About 2 weeks ago I was sick with a cold and sinus infection (possibly). I had fever, very congested. A few days ago, I started to get a really bad headache. Pressure in bridge of nose, temples top back, and front of head. I have taken ibuprofen to little or no avail. My mucus is clear now. But I've head this "pressured" headache for 5 days now. It's intermittent. It'll come and go during the day but still there. I notice when I'm doing a steambath, my headache diminishes. Don't want have to go to Dr. unless I really need to. Is 600-1000mg ibuprofen in one dose safe?

i have a muscle knot in my back that wont go away, 2x 200mg advil per dose isnt helping at all, so I upped the dose to 5x 200mg pills and it helped. Is that safe? I'm limiting to having one dose a day because being pain free for a few hours with 1000mg is better than being in pain 24/7 with 400mg every 6 hours

I got it for Christmas, and I JUST realized that it was the "Plus HD" version lol. I've been using the standard cables to record lately, and on a HDTV with 1080p abilities, it looks horrendous. I have overdosed before loads of times before and i've done 2 recently one was on sunday i only took 13 paracetamol's (500 mg) and then the next day I took 28 pills half was parcetamol's (500mg) and the other half was ibuprofen (200mg). in all the overdose's I've done i have ended up throwing up. But i have thrown up after from taking 28 but i still feel really sick and i have sticked my finger down my gob and i only threw up abit. i dont know if i have liver damage or not because i have been to a doctor before and they say if you feel sick and you're not throwing up you may have liver damage. my mum does know i have done it before in my past but she doesn't know about my recent ones. what do you think i should do?

Why does my '77 GM pickup miss when running?

I have a 1977 GMC pickup that starts and idles just fine. All seems fine till i get going in 2nd gear. It's a standard transmission and the problems seem to start when I get my rpms up in 2nd gear. I get enough rpms to switch to 3rd but when in 3rd the problems seem more apparent as the issue starts at lower rpms. The engine misses in 1st as well but I really have to get those rpms up there. I have already replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, accelerator pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. It's an old farm bucket with Low, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. 1/2 ton with a 350. It has a rochester Quadrajet carb. I don't know if its so much of a miss as much as it bogs down but it sure kicks when this happens. I don't know if there is any more information i could put on here but if you need to know more please ask. I want to make a project of this truck.

This has happened to me many of times and many of people as well, as it is a normal thing for this, please take a hot shower, long one as that, or soak in the bath tube, then rotate your neck like in circles all the way back no matter how bad it hearts it hearts because you are stretching the muscles, then keep do this give your self a meesadge, rube your neck, if you have an messadge thing for like a back or some thing use it onn your neck and do not just put it on one side of the neck all over the neck so the ache does not work itself on the other side on manny cases this happens and no one can figure out why it does happen!, Then keep repeating this over and over every mourning and night the hot bath or shower losings the muscles so you can get to the muscle more envisioned so it nice and loose when you message it, then if its hurting on the 3rd day take a cool shower then do what i asked you to do and keep doing this, then start taking like a ibuprofen then you should be okay make sure you have you neck fully on the pillow next ed time so when your sleeping your neck is not getting strangled during them 10hours of just laying there! There are pain relievers that do not affect inflammation. Anything that is classed as an NSAID will affect inflammation. opioids should work if you can get a script for one. Or go to the ER and show them your hands. Decline on any antiinflammatory meds, tell them why, and they will organize something else for you. Also, look up methotrexate, bc your rheumatilogist will want to give you that and it has some side effects and needs monitoring. The side effects are not too bad and the blood testing isnt so bad, its to monitor your liver. There's a lot of bad press about it, but it's a really good medicine for RA

I agree, he needs to go. He could get dehydrated, not just from the vomiting but from not drinking anything and having runny bowell movements. He's been on and off w/ the fever as well as the lethargy. Remember, you ALWAYS go on the side of precaution, and this is exactly why we have insurance. Use it and get that boy better, and you will feel better knowing you did the right thing. Even if the doctors were to say "oh he just needs xx medication and its over the counter" won't you feel better hearlng that from a doctor?

The reason for this is that the stronger that your leg becomes the less stress is given to the knee. This should help to stabilize things in the knee and allow you to continue with your normal activities. I would suggest that you avoid running and jumping activities as these are very hard on the meniscus and could cause you further damage. You can also do water activities as these will strengthen the legs. Riding a bike is also another way to strengthen the knee without much punishment. Just remember that you have to use the correct gearing to avoid stressing the knee.

AWOL from basic training?

Im a 23 year old female. I joined the army and during week 4 of training while i was in the gas chamber i was struck in the chest multiple times by the drill sgts. For the following next few days i went to sick call and complained of chest pains pressure the whole shebang. Anyhowm everytime i went they gave me medicine for allergies because apparently fort jackson is known for pollen. So one night i could no longer bare it i was on the floor screaming in pain and buzzing the drill sgts with no answer. I set off the alarms and ran downstairs banging on the ds door and he came out cursing and yelling. He eventually brought me to the hospital and i sat in a chair for 11 hrs before a doctor even saw me. he again prescribed ibuprofen and clairitin and i begged for bloodwork. he agreed, withing 45 minutes i was in an ambulance off post where i stayed for 5 days. I had damage consistent with a heartattack and a cardiac contusion (bruise on my heart) myocarditis. I also had Supraventricular tachycardias while i was in the hospital. So when i was discharged the army sent me home on 30 days con leave. When i got back my company was about to graduating i was forced to do everything with them although i wasnt feeling up to it and i was not training. i had to do shitty details but nothing compared to when we got switched over to the holdover company. We were in the scorching heat painting sweeping the concrete policing the hills it was ridiculous from sun up to sun down we were working. One day i had BAD chest pain so i went to sick call. Although i was on a dead mans profile and although i was awaiting a discharge and i told her of my pains and previous history she took me off profile and sent me on my way with an icepack and ibuprofen. when i got back to the company i snapped, i put on my civilians and took off running. Ive now been home for almost 45 days. Im scared to go back because i dont want jailtime, what should i do?
